REUNION ISLAND
URBAN – REGGAE HIP HOP

Author and performer, Pix’L is an artist from the western coast of Reunion Island, born of a Mauritian father and a Reunionese mother.

Raised by Jazz, Rhythm & Blues and Soul rhythms, his father naturally introduced him to singing at an early age.
Music became his only passion, his soul mate.
As a young artist, Pix’L immersed himself in hip-hop culture, writing his very first lyrics inspired by artists such as “Eminem”, “Cypress Hill” and other US rappers.

At the age of 11, Pix’L left the town of “Le Port” for the southern heights of the island, “La Plaine des Cafres”. He quickly familiarized himself with this environment, in stark contrast to his life on the west coast, and discovered Reggae Music and its culture, a real coup de coeur.

Years and recordings sessions in his home studio went by. Pix’L managed to make his mark on the local underground scene before the release of his first hit « Alé aou » in 2013, which propelled him to the forefront of the local and national scene.

Those days are long gone, however, as Pix’L celebrates 10 years in the music business in 2023. A journey full of sharing and unconditional love with his public.
Melodies and poetry carried by a deep voice.

Mr. « 2 SAISONS » is preparing some very fine projects for us after « Nouveau Départ » and « Empreinte ».
